Dikeou Superstars – August 2024

Mermaids, ice princesses, and uncool artists . . .  A quick snapshot of what Dikeou Collection artists have been up to over the past month, and what to look forward to next month.

JT, City Cinderella, 2024

Lizzi Bougatsos created one of her signature ice sculptures for the cover of JT’s new album “City Cinderella.” She and Sadie Laska (I.U.D.) performed at The Watermill Center’s Annual Summer Benefit.

Work by Anicka Yi and Wade Guyton is on view in “Between pixel and pigment. Hybrid painting is post digital times” at Marta Herford Museum for Art, Architecture, Design through October 11.

Mattituck Mushrooms

Agathe Snow has work on view in “Plant Life” at the Floyd Memorial Library through September 8. You can also sign up for a tour of her Mattituck Mushroom farm on August 4!

Art studios are now available for lease in the Colorado Building, home of Dikeou Collection, in Denver.

Sarah Staton with Heron in Flight, @_sarah_staton_ , @tidewaylondon

Sarah Staton completed another installation for her ongoing Tideway commission. Standing Heron and Heron in Flight are part of the future Carnwath Riverside Park. Also check out this video from UNICEF Innocenti where Sarah discusses her exhibition, “Wonderful.”

Wade Guyton, Vernissage TV

Wade Guyton curated an exhibition of work by David Armstrong, on view at Kunsthalle Zürich through September 15. Work by Guyton is also on view in “Yours Truly” at Nahmad Contemporary through September 14.
