DIKEOU LITERARY SERIES: JOANNA HOWARD, CHRISTOPHER DAVID ROSALES, EMMA HYCHE, & DENNIS JAMES SWEENEY

The Dikeou Collection presents the thirtieth installment of the Dikeou Literary Series. This event is free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday, October 18 at The Dikeou Collection, 1615 California St, Suite 515, 7-9pm. Please join us for readings by Joanna Howard, Christopher David Rosales, Emma Hyche, and Dennis James Sweeney.

Joanna Howard is the author of Foreign Correspondent (Counterpath, 2013), On the Winding Stair (Boa editions, 2009), In the Colorless Round, (Noemi, 2006) and more recently Field Glass, a speculative novel co-written with Joanna Ruocco (Sidebrow 2016). Her memoir Rerun Era is forthcoming from McSweeney’s in 2019. Her work has appeared in Conjunctions, Verse, Bomb, Chicago Review, Brooklyn Rail, and parts elsewhere. She lives in Denver and Providence and teaches at University of Denver.

Christopher Davis Rosales is from Paramount, CA. His first novel, Silence the Bird, Silence the Keeper, won him the McNamara Creative Arts Grant. His second novel, Gods on the Lam, was published by Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing. His third novel, Word is Bone, is forthcoming from Broken River Books. Rosales currently lives in Denver, and is an Assistant Professor at the Jack Kerouac School at Naropa University. Contact him at www.christopherrosales.com.

Emma Hyche is an MFA candidate in poetry at Colorado State University. A winner of the 2016 Intro Journals Award, her work appears or is forthcoming in TIMBER, Entropy, Foglifter, and elsewhere. Next to poetry, her greatest passions are baking elaborate cakes for no occasion and 1980s slasher movies.

Dennis James Sweeney’s writing has appeared in The Collagist, Crazyhorse, Five Points, Indiana Review, and Passages North, among others. He is a Small Press Editor of Entropy, an Assistant Editor of Denver Quarterly, the recipient of an MFA from Oregon State University, and a recent Fulbright fellow in Malta. His most recent chapbook is Poems About Moss.
