***Dan Beachy-Quick* is the author of several books of poetry including
*North True South Bright *(2003), *Spell*(2004), and *Mulberry* (2006). He is also the author of a book of interlinked meditations on Herman Melville’s *
Moby-Dick*, titled *A Whaler’s Dictionary (*2008). His poems have appeared widely in such journals as *The Boston Review, The New Republic, Fence, Poetry, Chicago Review, VOLT, Colorado Review,* and* New American
Writing.*His essays and reviews have appeared in
*The Southern Review, The Poker, Rain Taxi, The Denver Quarterly, Interim,*and elsewhere. He is the recipient of a Lannan Foundation Residency and has been a finalist for the Colorado Book Award, The William Carlos Williams
Award, and the PEN/USA Literary Award in Poetry.
*Yanara Friedland* is a writer, translator and traveler who was born in Berlin and has since lived and journeyed in Scotland, Mongolia, Australia, Nepal, India and Belgium among others places. She recently moved to North America to finish her PhD at the University of
Denver. In the past, she worked in film, journalism and with refugees. She is currently translating work by the German poet Unica Zürn, and is
finishing her first book length collection of stories and other prose -o-
poetic experiments.
*Robert Snyderman* wrote and directed the procession-play, *Voice Graffiti*, that occurred on a public square in downtown Providence, RI March 2012.
Voice Graffiti *was the sixth play he wrote and directed. The last four summers he supported himself writing poems on the streets of New York City. Now
living in the foothills west of Boulder, he is reading and attempting to make accessible the life’s work of Southern poet, Besmilr Brigham.
