HOPE, THANKS, & THE UNFORGIVING LITERARY SERIES: LISA FISHMAN, GRAHAM FOUST, AND ADITI MACHADO

The Dikeou Collection presents the ninth installment of the Hope, Thanks & The Unforgiving Literary Series on Saturday, April 18, at 7:00pm, which will take place at Dikeou Pop-Up: Colfax, 312 E Colfax Ave. The featured readers for the evening include Lisa Fishman, Graham Foust, and Aditi Machado. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Lisa Fishman is the author of five books of poetry, including 24 Pages and Other Poems (Wave Books, 2015), F L O W E R C A R T and The Happiness Experiment (Ahsahta Press). The first Lorine Niedecker Poet-in-Residence in Fort Atkinson and Blackhawk Island, Fishman lives in Orfordville and Madison, Wisconsin. She teaches at Columbia College Chicago. Graham Foust is the author of several collections of poetry, including To Anacreon in Heaven and Other Poems (Flood Editions, 2013) and A Mouth in California (2009) With Samuel Frederick, he has translated three volumes of poetry by Ernst Meister, including In Time’s Rift (Wave Books, 2012), Wallless Space (Wave Books, 2014), and Of Entirety Say the Sentence (forthcoming from Wave Books, October 2015). He teaches at the University of Denver. Aditi Machado is from Bangalore, India and is the poetry editor for Asymptote, an online journal dedicated to translation. Her chapbook The Robing of the Bride is available from Dzanc Books, and her poems have recently appeared in The Offending Adam, DIAGRAM, The Iowa Review, MiPOesias, LIES/ISLE, and Better Magazine. She is a current PhD candidate at the University of Denver.

Hope, Thanks & The Unforgiving Literary Series is organized by Hanna Andrews. Hanna is the author of Slope Move (Coconut Books, 2013) and is at work on her 2nd collection of poems. She received her MFA from Columbia College Chicago and is the former Content Editor at the Academy of American Poets where she curated the Poem-a-Day series. She is the co-founder and Editor of the feminist poetry press Switchback Books, and lives in Denver with her husband, the poet Eryn Green, and their baby daughter, Aya
