Kit Karbler started his career and opened Blake Street Glass with Michael David in 1979. His glass work is distinguished by thin, concentric lines of colored glass, immobilized in clear crystal. His process of cutting and faceting the pieces helped them to stand out from other glass artists and helped them gain numerous awards and recognition over the years. The primary purpose of his work is not to simply allow you to hold objects, but to hold your imagination and light. Kit has a strong belief in the importance of cultivating an appreciation for all things beautiful and giving back to the community.

Devon Dikeou’s “We’d Like to Get to Know You” consists of two large glass goblets—one to hold dinner mints and the other to collect business cards of those who pass through the gallery. The collected business cards serve as a participant entry to a raffle to be held at the close of the exhibition. The prize will be the edition set of goblets made by Kit Karbler at this glass blowing demo, which will be drawn at the close of Devon Dikeou “Mid-Career Smear” curated by Cortney Lane Stell at The Dikeou Collection in March 2023.
