Rock Collage
Abject comes with rock collage. That ashtray you hate smelling when you awaken. All those dead soldiers you thought you didn’t drink . . . And the potential fury of some force that might come down . . . But the spirit is there, and somehow pre-party rather than post- in all these collages. Shoes gussied up for any range of hot events . . . Only to be foiled by an entire leg molded in ice with one of those shoes last to melt as the party ends. Talk about an ice princess. And she’s a performer in many bands – Actress, I.U.D, Gang Gang Dance – and that’s her great talent to pull you in ‘cause her finger is on the pulse of the cultural zeitgeist . . . Putting on make-up with Tracy Morgan, looking for affordable housing or otherwise (for rent signs), winning the local bar game, cause her aim is right on. Then there is her microphone . . . She likes Red Rocks, and that microphone and jacket have already been there, and before Bono’s security could stop her. Lizzi Bougatsas relishes the spotlight and that which might be hard to attain. Rock Collage. That’s her magic.
