She wants to examine the ways masculinity can interfere with the experience of a black male body fully experiencing being loved and being loving. She also wants to examine the ways this construct of black masculinity interferes with the black female’s experience with being loved and loving. When she isn’t writing or doing research, she is indulging in photography lessons to amp her skills for a poetic coffee table book. She enjoys traveling and creating memories with her husband and family, taking naps, and binge watching television shows on Netflix.
